[Case Study] Major Stationery Manufacturer

All products that are manually assembled at overseas factories for stationery supplies will be fully automated!

We would like to introduce a case study that solved the challenges faced by a major stationery manufacturer. The company requested our assistance from the Automation Production Technology Department to develop a high-spec automatic assembly line. We worked on automating the processes that were currently being done manually, step by step. First, we proposed ways to increase the takt time and achieve labor savings while utilizing the designs that had previously been created for standalone machines. As a result, the line that previously required about 50 workers for manual assembly now only needs around 5 machine assistants. The former workers have moved to other processes and workplaces, resulting in a fourfold increase in production capacity and achieving a mass production system. [Case Overview] ■ Challenge: Production was being done with semi-automatic machines and standalone devices, leading to a significant increase in labor costs and the need for improved productivity through automation. ■ Solution: Increased production capacity, reduced root causes, and reduced man-hours. ■ Outcome: Production capacity increased fourfold. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Installation of lids using a vision-equipped 6-axis robot! Composed of 8 workstations, assembly production at a rate of 1 unit every 4 seconds.

This is an automated assembly line for continuously assembling stamp pad hobby craft products. It consists of eight workstations (supply and transport of stamp pad base containers → application of adhesive → supply and transfer of ink pads → pad pressing → supply and installation of stamp pad lids → lid pressing → assembly quality inspection → product discharge), producing one unit every four seconds.
